Paisley Abbey Cookies

Total Time: 35 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 25 mins

Ingredients

  • 125 g unsalted butter
  • 125 g caster sugar
  • 125 g plain flour, sifted
  • 100 g rolled oats
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 1 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
  • 1 teaspoon golden syrup

Recipe

  • 1 heat the oven to 150 c (300f ), gas mark 2
  • 2 cream butter and sugar together, then add the milk, soda and syrup.
  • 3 stir in the flour and oats and mix well.
  • 4 roll the dough into 24 small balls and place evenly apart on lightly greased baking sheets.
  • 5 bake for 25 mins until golden brown.
  • 6 cool on a wire rack.
